Whats a good research topic for a paper on India?

I am writing a research paper on India. The guidelines are broad. Meaning i can wright about anything be it a current issues/ events, famous people past and present and culture. However I don't want to write about the usual stuff like Gandhi, Nehru and the caste system. I need an interesting topic to write about and research. I was hoping someone out there could suggest some ideas or send me some links. Thank you in advance.
