Is it wrong to have a platonic relationship if you are married?

I'm going to ume that this platonic friendship is with a person of the opposite . It's okay to have a friendship when you are married, but be careful. Any emotion and attention that you divert to your "friend" is literally being withheld from your spouse. Marriages are difficult enough right now, because of our busy lives and all the distractions in the world. I don't really see how this friendship would benefit your life. Here's a good measure of this being a successful friendship - Would you be comfortable introducing this friend to your spouse? Would you friend feel okay hanging out with the both of you? If yes, keep this friend, if no, you're playing with fire!
