Using the pword reset Cd?

I used a pword recover cd to reset my pword, but I can't save the changes and load windows. It is a Dos based program on windows xp os. I got to where it says the pword changed and the edits were saved, however I don't know how to continue on to load windows except for ctrl, atl, delete, and when you do that the pword change doesn't get saved. Do you have any ideas? Much thanks to you...
