Need an Opinion on this Issue?

I had a tubal done approx. 17 years ago, last year at this time I suffered an ectopic pregnancy. I am not on birth control. This month my period ended on the 8th, then I started spotting on the 15th-17th it stopped, now today started spotting brown again. I took a pregnancy test yesterday result was negative. It does seem that today it started after I was up and doing housework and picking up my granddaughter, who I am watching toll Sunday. Any takes on the situation
