Need to find a old clical/musical movie!!?

i cant remember at allll what its called, i just know that it had to been filmed either from the 30's through the 60's i know that's a huge gap but it has to do with a man who goes on a adventure with a side kick he meets accidentally and during their voyage find a genie or they were looking for the genie and a take a diamond or ruby from where the genie is at. one big thing i cant forget is a part in which they are in a market and get this flat bread and put honey on it that's a scene in the movie that's shown for a little bit not a quick scene. o also i think the main character becomes blind and his young friend gets turned into a dog by a sorcerer until the end of the movie when he's able to see again and his Friend turned back into a young man. Hope Some one can help me i cant remember what its called i need to find this movie please if someone even knows someone else that could help ive looked everywhere online and cant find the movie idk if im looking wrong or what please help.!!!!!!!!!
