If I create an LLC, do i still need to apply and get a business license?

I am going to try a little start up business on the side. Mostly as a tax break for my personal income, but also going to see if my concept works and actually make some money with it. I live in California. If I name my LLC my company name, do I not need to go to the County to get a business license, or do I need to do both?
